It shall promote the creation of at least 10 and up to a maximum of 14 partnerships covering universities, public research bodies and highly qualified public and private entities, at national level, for the funding of fundamental and/or applied research projects characterised by a strongly interdisciplinary approach.
The activities of the consortia, created with respect to topics selected from those indicated in the MUR Guidelines and organized in a Hub&Spoke governance structure, aim to strengthen national research chains, and promote participation in European programmes and global challenges.
