Study in Italy... study at UniCa

There are many reasons why you should come and study in Italy. Italy speaks different languages: in addition to the renowned expertise in the language of Architecture, Arts, Design and Fashion, the language of Research and Science is very well spoken in our country. Study in Italy and you will learn these languages.

As part of its international university education programmes, the University of Cagliari reserves several places on its degree courses for non-EU students.

All foreign students intending to enrol at the University of Cagliari can find the required information in the Study Manifesto, the document that provides a snapshot of the university's educational offer and the availability of places for foreign students and, more specifically, for Chinese students who are beneficiaries of the Marco Polo project.

For further details on the procedures applied at national level, please consult the portal https://www.studiare-in-italia.it/studentistranieri/, which is the official MUR (Ministry of University and Research) website dedicated to the Italian higher education system for foreign students.

Please find below useful information on enrollment procedures, fees and our study courses.

Our degree courses

The University of Cagliari offers its students 43 three-year degree courses, 40 five-year degree courses and 6 single-cycle degree courses.

Taking into account the demands of the local area and the proposals of the Departments, and in accordance with the principle of high quality and sustainability, the University has expanded the range of its courses to include scientific and cultural areas that are not only new compared to the previous offer, but also highly innovative, i.e. integrating the existing educational offer with Bachelor's degrees that guarantee greater and better access to the Master's degree offer and the activation of a three-year vocational degree.

Foreign students may also enrol in these courses, provided they hold a valid qualification for enrolment, and a reserved number of places is also envisaged for each course.

VALID FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2022-2023

At:

  • The Italian state and non-state universities authorised to issue qualifications with legal value;
  • The Italian State and non-State Higher Education Institutions authorised to award degrees with legal value and the Institutions authorised to award degrees in Artistic, Musical and Choreographic Higher Education.

These procedures are subject to the current and future emergency provisions of the Italian Government and the European Union concerning the prevention and containment of the COVID 19 virus epidemic.

Should international students need a visa to enter Italy, they must promptly apply for a visa for study purposes at the diplomatic-consular Representations of reference for their place of residence.

In principle, visa applications must be submitted to the competent diplomatic-consular Representations by 30 November 2022, in order to allow for the effective enrolment of international students and the subsequent payment of university fees,

If the deadline is extended, higher education institutions will be able to continue their procedures for recruiting international students and assessing the suitability of the foreign qualifications they hold.
