The Erasmus+ Programme supports cross-border mobility for European educational and training experiences of pupils, higher education and vocational education and training (VET) students, adult learners, young people in non-formal learning programmes, educators and staff.

In addition, the Programme includes a new action in the area of Sport: participation in mobility projects for sports coaches, extending opportunities for European cooperation and learning directly to local grassroots sport organisations and their staff.

Erasmus+ 2021-2027 Enriching lives, maturing and opening minds through the EU programme for education, training, youth and sport

Building on the success of the Programme in the 2014-2020 period, Erasmus+ increases opportunities for a larger number of participants and a broader range of organisations.

Key themes such as social inclusion, environmental sustainability, the digital transition and the promotion of participation in democratic life by the younger generation are central to the Programme. Spending time in another country to study, learn and work should become the norm, as should being able to speak two languages other than one's mother tongue.
