The European Commission recognises with the HR Excellence in Research Award Institutions which make progress in aligning their human resources policies for researchers to the 40 principles of the “European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct” (C&C) and to the Council Recommendation of 18 December 2023 on a European framework to attract and retain research, innovation and entrepreneurial talents in Europe " based on a customized action plan/HR strategy to retain and attract the best researchers, by implementing actions designed to improve the research environment and promote best practices for career development in research. UniCA has committed to embracing the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for their Recruitment (C&C) since 2005. The HR Excellence in Research label was awarded by the European Commission in March 2024 following the approval of the action plan to implement the HRS4R strategy.
