Quality Assurance (AQ) and continuous improvement are fundamental principles adopted by the University of Cagliari in carrying out all institutional activities, which are managed and organised through a programme that is consistent with the University’s strategic and programmatic policies and guidelines.
Research, teaching and third mission activities must guarantee a quality level oriented to European level standards and guidelines, and therefore to the national legislation and guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) and the National Agency for the Evaluation of the University and Research System (ANVUR).
To this end, the AVA System (Self-Assessment, Periodic Assessment, Accreditation) has been introduced, under the responsibility of ANVUR: this aims to improve the quality of teaching and research carried out in universities, through the application of an AQ model based on internal procedures for the design, management, self-assessment and continuous improvement of training and scientific activities and on a clear and transparent external verification.
The University of Cagliari has developed a Quality Assurance System, curated, and managed with the support of the University Quality Presidium (PQA), through which it is constantly committed to ensuring the quality and continuous improvement of its activities, thanks also to the contribution made by all the actors involved in them.
